Mai 68, la science s’affiche

May 1968 brought French society to its breaking point. At every turn, at every hour, contestation sustains conversations, propels occupations and is displayed on every wall. Within the scientific community, people also begin to dream, protest and reinvent practices: universities are shut down, hospitals go on strike, psychiatric practices are called out. In laboratories, « mandarins » are questioned when others sing « Do you know the animal that invented integral calculus? »
