Calls for documentary projects
With the support of its broadcasting partners, the festival fosters new talent and actively stimulates the creation of new documentaries. Each year, several calls for documentary projects are launched. The best projects win funding for their films and get screened at Pariscience the year after.

Scientific Ideas Fair
At the inception of every documentary project is an idea. Pariscience organizes every year the Scientific Ideas Fair.
During this event, scientists who believe their research subject could be brought to the screen get the opportunity to meets authors, directors and producers. From these meetings can be born tomorrow’s documentaries…
Symbiosis – Make a film in 48h!
The principle is simple, the execution… not so much! Randomly selected duos of directors and scientists get only 48 hours to write, shoot and finish a short film, on a scientific subject matter of their choice.
No matter how demanding, since 2016, dozens of participants have brilliantly taken on this challenge. With the support of the CNRS, the best team wins each year the Symbiosis Prize.
