GRAND PRIX AST – VILLE DE PARIS

Presented by the City of Paris and the Science Télévision Jury, the prize is worth 2,000€. It recognizes the best film in the Science Télévision competition, produced by and/or for television.

         

PRIX GRAND ÉCRAN

Presented by the Grand Écran Jury, the prize is worth 2,000€. It recognizes the best feature-length documentary in the Grand Écran competition that explores science in a personal and cinematic way.



PRIX EMPREINTE

Presented by the Empreinte Jury, the prize is worth 2,000€. It recognizes the best film in the Empreinte competition that addresses climate and environmental issues.


PRIX BUFFON

Presented by the National Museum of Natural History of Paris and the Biodiversity Jury, the prize is worth 2,000€. It recognizes the best film addressing biodiversity—whether animal or flora—among all the films in the selection.


PRIX DU PUBLIC

Presented by the AST, the prize is worth 1,000€. The audience will be able to vote for a selection of films (excluding opening acts, short films, medium-length films, and certain special screenings).



PRIX ADAV

A special ADAV prize, worth 1,000€ (a firm pre-purchase of DVDs with institutional usage rights), is awarded to a film from the selection for a specific distribution in French educational and cultural networks.




PRIX E-TOILES DE SCIENCE

Presented by the E-toiles de Science Jury, the prize consists of a 2,000€ cash award from the AST, and a prize of audiovisual equipment provided by Sennheiser, awarded to the winner of the E-toiles de Science competition. It recognizes the best science communication video created for the web.



PRIX UPSIDE 

Presented by Université Paris Cité and the UPSIDE Jury, the prize is worth 2,000€. It recognizes the best film promoting an interdisciplinary approach.


PRIX ÉTUDIANT

Presented by the Student Jury, the prize is worth 2,000€. It recognizes the best film in the Grand Écran competition, which explores science in a personal and cinematic way.


PRIX COURT MÉTRAGE ÉTUDIANT

Presented by the CNOUS (Centre national des œuvres universitaires et scolaires), the prize is worth 2,000€. It recognizes the best student science short film.

 

 

School Programme Competitions


 

PRIX JURY EN HERBE

Presented by the OFB (Office français de la biodiversité) and the Jury en Herbe, the prize is worth 2,000€ and is awarded to the best film in the Jury en Herbe competition.


PRIX JURY COLLÉGIEN

Presented by the CNES (Centre national d’études spatiales) and the Jury Collégien, this prize is worth 2,000€. It recognizes the best science outreach video for the web in the E-toiles de Science-Collège competition.



PRIX JURY LYCÉEN

Presented by the Ile-de-France Region and the High School Student Jury, the prize is worth 2,000€. It recognizes the best film in the High School Student Jury competition. This award is organized in partnership with Paris Cité University.


 

 

 

 

Pariscience Talent Development Labs


 

PRIX SYMBIOSE – 48-HOUR SHORT FILM COMPETITION

Presented by the Symbiose Jury, the prize is endowed with 1,000€ by the AST. It recognizes the best short film created by a duo of scientist/filmmaker, in record time during the festival.


PRIX DU PREMIER FILM SCIENTIFIQUE

Presented by Ushuaïa TV for Best Screenplay, the winner receives a 25,000€ co-production grant, airtime on the channel, and a screening at the next edition of Pariscience Festival.



PRIX ÉCLAIR DE SÉRIE 

Awarded by ARTE France to the best project, the winner will receive a development grant (for writing and producing a pilot episode) of up to 25,000€ and a screening at the next edition of Pariscience Festival.


PRIX CAMPAGNE D’IMPACT

Awarded by the OFB (French Office for Biodiversity) to the best impact campaign based on a film calling on society to take action on issues related to the protection of life. The winner will receive a 15,000€ grant for the development of the impact campaign, support from the OFB throughout the campaign, and a screening at the following edition of Pariscience Festival.
